4. Conclusion
Based on the findings above, it can be concluded that the use of Telegram can
enhance the English learning of the tenth-grader students’ attendance and
achievement of SMKN 4 Malang in pandemic Covid-19. Telegram as a medium
of communication is very successful in helping the tenth-grader English teachers
of SMKN 4 Malang. And the strengths of using Telegram are the design it makes
it easier for users to send text messages, audio, videos, images, and stickers to
each other securely, Telegram is a free app (no ads nor fees). It sends messages
faster because it is cloud-based. It is lighter when running because it has a smaller
application size. It also can be accessed from various devices concurrently such
as, smartphones, tablets, computers, laptops, and others. It predicts how helpful
educators are in delivering subject matter by utilizing bots that contain some
commands that can be easily accessed by students to get information easily with
various file formats, the subject matter in the form of videos, documents, and
audio. However, the weaknesses of using Telegram found in English carried out
by the tenth-grader English teachers of SMKN 4 Malang in pandemic Covid-19
are video call feature can be used only by two persons and no stories feature.
