Principle of management

Having an unmistakable administration structure set up is crucial for any effective

association. Proficient and good-natured administration establishes the vibe for the
remainder of the staff. It is normal for the mentality approach of administrators to channel
through the whole association, so having chiefs working in a commendable manner is a
fantastic model for representatives to follow.

Based on the book by Michael E. Whitman; Herbert J. Mattord (2018), the principle of the
management is planning. The basic planning model discussed earlier in this chapter is
extended in InfoSec management planning. Activities required to support the design,
creation, and implementation of InfoSec strategies within the planning environments of all
organisational units, including IT, are included in the InfoSec planning model. Because
InfoSec strategy plans must support not only IT use and information asset protection, but
also those of the entire organisation, it is critical that the CISO collaborate closely with all
senior managers in developing InfoSec strategy. The IT strategy is based on the business
strategy. The InfoSec strategy is then developed using the strategies of other business units
and the IT strategy. The CISO derives InfoSec objectives from the IT and other business
units to establish the organization's InfoSec strategy, just as the CIO uses the IT objective
obtained from the business unit plans to construct the organization's IT strategy. (Michael E.
Whitman; Herbert J. Mattord 2018)

The flexibility means is flexible in nature as they are adjustable in accordance with the
situations of the organisation. There are situations where the principle may not be exactly
applicable. Most of the management principle can be applied to all kinds of organisations.
Moreover, they have utility in all kinds of economics of the world. Management principles are
relative in nature. They should be applied carefully in accordance with the needs of the
organisation. Based on situation. The application of management principles depends upon
the specific situation prevailing in the organisation. General statements. Management
principles have been derived out of experience in managing organisations. (D. Chandra
Bose 2012)

In the book Classics of Organization Theory by Jay M. Shafritz; J. Steven Ott; Yong Suk
Jang (2015) mention that one of the principles of management is discipline. Discipline is, in
essence, obedience, application, energy, behaviour, and outward signs of respect observed
in accordance with the standing agreements between the firm and its employees, whether
these agreements have been freely debated or accepted without prior discussion, whether
they are written or implicit, whether they are driven by the wishes of the parties to them or by
rules and custom, it is these agreements that determine the formalities of discipline.

Next, the principles that mention is Unity of command. An employee should only take
directions from one superior for any action. Such is the norm of unity of command,
originating from widespread and constant necessity and exercising an impact on the conduct
of affairs that, in my opinion, is at least equivalent to any other principle. When it is violated,
authority is compromised, discipline is jeopardised, order is disrupted, and stability is
jeopardised. This guideline appears to me to be essential, thus I have elevated it to the level
of principle.

When two superiors wield authority over the same person or department, uneasiness arises;
if the cause persists, the disorder worsens; the malady takes on the appearance of an
animal organism afflicted by a foreign body, with the following outcomes: either the dual
command ends in the disappearance or elimination of one of the superiors, and organic
wellbeing is restored; or the organism continues to wither away. There is no adaptation of
the social organism to dual command in any scenario. (Jay M. Shafritz; J. Steven Ott; Yong
Suk Jang 2015)
