Dear Applicant,

Congratulations that you have been offered a place in the RMIT Bachelor of Business Programme.

Advanced Standing into your Business Program

As a holder of either a recognised diploma from SIM Global Education or a Singapore Polytechnic, you will
be granted advanced standing (credit) into your RMIT business degree. Depending on the degree in which
you are enrolling and whether your previous qualification was business or non-business related, you can
expect to receive credit for either 12 or 8 courses.

It is important to note that any advanced standing (credit) granted to you, if applicable, has been calculated
and granted on the basis of prior studies. The assessment of this advanced standing has been thoroughly
assessed against RMIT principles and the learning outcomes of your previous study.

You can view the list of transferred credits / exemptions granted by logging into SIMConnect as instructed in
the ‘Application outcome’ email you have received. If you are happy with the offer, please accept your
contract within the acceptance due date mentioned.

(Please refer to the guide on how to accept contract and view your transferred credits / exemptions appended
with this letter)

After having checked your credit online via SIMConnect, should you plan to seek a review to either the
number of credit exemptions granted and/or the particular courses that the exemptions apply to, you are
advised to:

1. Email your request for credit review to bus.admissions@rmit.edu.au and clearly state "SIM Credit
Review" in the subject line of the email within 5 days of this offer letter;
2. Provide details as to the nature of the error and any relevant documentation, such as academic
transcripts, to support your application. Please note that if you do not provide documentation to
support your application for review, we cannot respond to your request.
3. You are encouraged to accept your original offer first to secure your place in the programme, and
ensure that you are NOT enrolled for the module you are currently seeking appeal for.

You could normally expect to know the outcome of your review status within 5 working days.

If you believe the outcome of the review has not resolved the issue and that the grounds of appeal exist, you
may then seek a formal appeal within 20 working days from the date of offer at
http://mams.rmit.edu.au/5enkm7hh8i2m.pdf

Should you require any clarification on the above, you may email Student Services at students@sim.edu.sg

Yours Sincerely,
