    Originally released in 1984 by Capcom for the coin-ops arcade, 1942 is a vertically scrolling shooter arcade game.
    It was the first game in the 19xx series and is loosely based upon the Battle of Midway. The goal of the game is
    shoot down enemy planes, avoid enemy fire, and collect a series of power-ups to allow you to reach Tokyo and
    destroy the Japanese air fleet.

    1942 is a faithful remake of the original classic. This game was designed by Charly Games and was released in
    2017.
