Project 4 : Diagnostic tool for hierarchical distribution print system(RFE)
Duration : 2 members in 18mm
Role : Development in c, ISO c++
Project description: This diagnostic tool is a java applet available at the root. Once we
run this tool, applet windows will be opened in which consists of three buttons, namely
START, STOP, IDENTITY and it also show the IP address, Mac address of CIP board. If
we press the stop button then stop all the tests. If we press identity buttons then the
system will be initiated the loop back test on CIP board and system health system.
Contribution: My self-developed RPC programming (writing the .x file) to connect
video servers, Developed the multi-threading to blink the LED’s parallel. Done unit
testing, integration test, interrupts for the driver.
Project 5: Porting the print server application for sandy bridge, Nehalem
processors(RFE)
Duration : 1 member in 6 mm
Role : Development in ISO C++
Project description: The print severs application consists of 150000 file which were
created before 80’s and 90’s. This legacy source code is not standard, which is lagging in
performance.
Contribution: compiled the entire source code with modern compiler and deployed the
application in the server and estimated performance.
Project 6 : Re-engineering the print server to support MICR color for
hierarchical distribution print system(RFE)
Duration : 2 members in 6mm
Role : Development in c and ISO C++
Project description: Generally, in color science, we use additive (RGB) color or
subtractive (CMYK) color to print the color image but in some situations, system needs
to support transparent color (clear), gold color, MICR color. The MICR color used in
bank checks.
Contribution: I had re-engineering the driver for to support MICR color and created the
low level interface to the driver and written the code for interrupts requests.
Project 7 : Design a transparency plane(RFE)
Duration : 1 member in 2mm
Role : Development
Project description : now a days people were context switch from one channel to
another channel more frequently .so to do this people required a transparent plane
to enter the channel number. If the plane is transparent then they can view the
background video.
Contribution : Different levels (50-98 %) of transparent plane are
developed
Project 8 : Transport stream parser(RFE)
Duration : 1 member in 1mm

Project description: Transport stream is received from broadcaster which is
internally processed by the set-top box by making the tables related to Programs,
channels, date &time and to configure the tuning parameters. This table is used by
the testing team to test the set-top box in C
Contribution: Design the PAT, PMT, EIT, SIT, DOT, TOT, NIT tables
Project 9 : simulated the ARM emulator(RFE)
Duration : 1 member in one month

Project description: The aim the project is to test the shell & parallel port on ARM
processor using open source (QEMU) on x86 architecture (little endian) machines.
This tool is for testing various device drivers for ARM
Contribution : Developed the small shell to test ash and written the
C program to transfer files from ARM processor to another machine
Using codesourecy (open source of mentor graphics lite edition)
