Reflecting personal development and Action Plan

Introduction

Business to business, the approach of psychology varies. Day by day, business is changing its
term and expanding the area of operation. To illustrate a particular working environment
realising business psychology is a vital part (Barnanewbolt and Hallett, 2018). Business
psychology refers to a strategy and applied science of practising and improving working life. It is
the combination of human behaviour for achieving long-term objectives. The term user
behaviour is very dynamic. Person to person, these characteristics vary from person to person.
The combination of a person's effort and my effort can lead an organisation to achieve business
objectives. In this modern competitive area, the tools of assessing core skills are abundant in
number. But there are some major theories and models according to business psychology aspects.
For reflecting personal development and action plan, I have chosen time management, team
working, and written communication. Those three skills are effective for developing personal
core skills. To achieve success in academic life as well as professional life, those skills will help
mostly. For the conjunction, I always prefer to use Maslow's need hierarchy theory which is
included with Skinner as well as Herzberg. It will expand my internal knowledge, and my
behaviour will change effectively. This need hierarchy theory of Maslow is included with the
individual action and behaviour. The behaviour will be guided to these three skills such as time
management, team working and written communication. These three determining skills are soft
skills that are mandatory for an academic succession of an individual's academic life. Sometimes
it is also called soft people skills. Time management helps a person to bear punctuality in mind
and tend for success with higher effectiveness. Team working is the ability to work with various
types of people and get a better successful result. Written communication is a major skill for
storing data for future uses. This theory of need hierarchy demonstrated that those skills
characterised people's to be motivated in the workplace. Besides this, I use the Johari window,
Myer's indicator and peer feedback for my assessment. Those are essential for my future success
and job career development. This report is going to evaluate two-part including an evaluation of

psychological approaches and a summary action plan. Let’s check those out for a better
demonstration (Casual, 2015).

Time management
Why did I select this skill to reflect on? Why is the core skill important for developing
personal and professional skills? Using relevant theories and concepts of business and
business psychologies to support answers:
Time management is one of the effective and first core skills that I have chosen to develop in
my academic career. It was very effective for academic betterment and so professional
betterment (Funnell, 2015). It is the skill that defines the effective capability for planning to
complete daily activities within the desired time. Completing tasks on time helped to
accelerate the rhythm of my career. It helps to be proficient in the academic career. It is one of
the major soft skills that is required to be implemented in my performance. It is essential for
me because, after graduation, I can control my work balance relating to my personal
development. It will enable my professional growth, and it will make me more responsible.
Allowing this skill of time management will help me to enable tasks and expand my
responsibilities in my academic career.
Reflecting on my current competencies regarding this skill. How did I assess my
competencies?
Time management is a core skill that can easily reflect on my current competencies. I evaluate
my mind as an extrovert. I am an extrovert with better efficiency. The guidance of the Johari
window and the MBTI test skill can reflect in me. I always like to be the lead performer in any
kind of performance. I don’t feel shy for involving in any job. My energetic mind helps me to
interact better, which result in multiple taskers. But if I see any uncertain issues, I can hold my
breath and go for better performance. Though I am not fully accurate in my activities, I try to
work hard for my peer groups. Analysing those competencies regarding time management
skills, I can easily cope with personal development (Godfrey, 2013).

Analysing this above demonstration, I can easily say that I am effective and efficient. My
behavioural activities and the consistency required to be more improved. There is no way to
succeed without facing troubles. Improving this skill is required to evaluate the betterment of

academic career. I need to work more and more to achieve success on this core skill.
Understanding from peers helps me to criticise my skill and enrol for better outcomes of time
management skills (Lowry, 2014).

Combined performance is thousands of times better than individual performance. Teamwork is
a major skill in academic and professional careers. I have chosen this potential skill to reflect
on because it is pretty adequate to cope with various types of people for bearing higher
performance. It is one of the significant skills for developing academic skills and professional
skills. Professional skills will include enrichment in teamwork will help to meet business
objectives within the desired time. Bruce Tuckman's model of team stages is an essential
theory that reflects on the significance of personal and professional skill development.
Reflecting on my current competencies regarding this skill. How did I assess my
competencies?
Regarding this skill, I have focused on some current competencies to be assessed. Desiring
better output without flouring current competencies may not be suitable (Lassie and Dachau,
2016). I need to evaluate the current competencies on the skill on teamwork those are such as
feedback, playing the business role, getting feedback, and so many things that will help to
assess current competency for teamwork. It will be effective to achieve skill on a particular
period by reflecting current competencies of teamwork.

Above this demonstration, I can easily obtain that I need to be more cooperative in my
performance. Because without combined action it isn't adequate to get the better skill. I get

confused to read my peer's minds because my teammates cannot cooperate with me, which is
very ineffective. But I am working to build this with higher analysis. I am very confident it
will be a cover-up, and I will be effective in teamwork performance.

Teamwork is one of the effective core skills for future development. Teamwork is a combined
actin process including communication, combined performance, and collaboration. It will help
me variously (Mandy and Whipple, 2014). I can cope with the current changes in the
organisation, and I will be effective to expand my collaboration skill. I can bear the person
creating and innovation through my peers. Setting a common goal is strategic and effective to
achieve. Those included things will help me to bear better performance and desired objectives
after a particular period.

In the preforms reflective three-part, I have chosen written communication to be developed in
the personal and professional platforms (McKenna, 2020). Life is a continuous phase. In this
phase of life, facing various types of challenges is a common thing. Written communication
interacts with using a proven strategy. Because of technological changes, there are no
obligations on communication types. It can be stored, and it can be written. I have chosen this
skill for professional and personal development because of its effectiveness. Using this written
communication skill may help to enrich the working balance, and it will help to store future
evidence. If I write anything to transmit to my colleagues, it will be easy and effective, which
will be time-efficient. During working, written communication will lead business for
managing better. Proper guidance and maintenance of written communication will help to
improve daily basis activities.

competencies?

Performing operational activities is the capability to get a satisfactory result in the working
area. By using the Johari Window, I can receive feedback from personal and professional
learning. I am pretty confident that I am hardworking. The behaviour of current competencies
of written communication is the involvement of personal and professional work. I am very
effective in my peer performance. My open mind and competence can regard the skill of
written communication. However, I can easily handle any issues during the enrichment of
qualities. But sometimes, because of uncertain issues, I cannot meet the objectives of personal
development. It is essential because my compulsiveness get insufficient confidence in the
development area. But besides those issues, I a well-organised and well-planned during
communication. Confidence is the major factor of communication. So I am working through
this schedule for enriching the newer ways to fulfil the desire. Day by day, days are changing,
and everything is going systematically. So it is required to me that I should involve the
accuracy of those current competencies regarding this skill (Paunch, 2016).

Analysing the contradiction above will help to cope with the transformational changes. Written
communication is an essential part of academic as well as professional life. Day by day, the
effectiveness of written communication is expanding rapidly. I need to cooperate with the
contingency issues and challenging issues because the type of communication can be improper
in any dynamic area. But the compulsion and the reaction can be based on the actions of an
individual's. I can easily manage a thing of compulsion because without assuring this current
issue, this analysis may be improper, and the usage of skill may be incomplete. Besides
building the skill of written communication, I need to be focused on self-awareness. Without
self-awareness performing, written communication can bear ineffective objectives for
academic results or organisational results.

Written communication is an essential skill for enriching betterment in an organisational career
as well as an academic career (Samson and Samson, 2013). I have chosen this significant skill
for developing because of its effectiveness. Practical life is bounded into busy activities.
Written communication will help me to bear professionalism in my working area, which will
be directly reflected in the objectives. This skill will help me in future in various ways. By
building trust and integrity can be improved by written communication in my personal
development. It will help me in future to define accurate goals. Using this skill, I can detect
