Essay

As of the 21st century, more and more people go on adventures in unexplored places of
the planet. However, is it really such a good thing that they do it?
It comes with no surprise that the beautiful, untouched spots on Earth will eventually lose
their purity once more humans step foot in them. While it is true that if people are careful with
the environment this process might be delayed, it can't be stopped.
To add to the negative effects of "adventure tourism", you also expose yourself to risk.
You can't be as easily reached in an isolated spot and, also, mother nature is harsh with unwanted
guests. However, if you prepare yourself enough, the risks lower substantially.
On the other hand, these expeditions are moral boosters. They give you a goal, which
takes stressful steps to achieve, steps that might release adrenaline on the way, and, of course, the
satisfaction you get when you finally do it.
Overall, I think that "adventure tourism" is a great way to focus on yourself, but you
should not do it unprepared or harm the environment in the process of doing it.
