MICRACUT 200-S is a high-speed automatic precision cutting

machine that used for precise and deformation-free cutting of
“Metals, Ceramics, Electronic Components, Crystals,
Composites, Biomaterials, Sintered Carbides, Minerals, etc.”
MICRACUT 200-S has also grinding capability for applications
that need extremely precise material removal. MICRACUT
200-S has its place in virtually any metallurgical, geological,
electronics, research, biomedical or industrial laboratory. The MICRACUT 200-S has special design for universal use. Two
applications are endless. different types of cutting tables can be mounted on the cutting
chamber for different types of applications. The fixed cutting

 Universal use for very wide range of applications geological samples by hand. The movable cutting table
attachment is used for manual table feed cutting of PCB boards,
 Suitable for both precise cutting and precise grinding sheet metals, small metallic or non-metallic samples.

 Ability to cut PCBs and flat samples MICRACUT 200-S has motorized sample movement in Z-axis
that makes possible to benefit from extra advanced cutting
 Programmable with colored HMI touch screen controls methods such as "Automatic Z-Axis Cutting, Hybrid Cutting,
Rapid Pulse Cutting, Instafeed Cutting, Semi-Automatic Serial
 Motorized sample movement in Z-axis

 Precise X-axis positioning with 5 μm accuracy
of the cut, the motor automatically stops and an audible signal
notifies the operator. It is also possible to make manual cutting
 Inbuilt recirculation coolant tank by the handle on the left side of machine.

MICRACUT 200-S accomodates diamond, CBN and abrasive

MICRACUT 200-S is capable of cutting most materials such as,

wheel wear, motor overload and even cut-off wheel breakage.
Low feedrate values increase cutting time. With Auto Feedrate
Cutting (Instafeed Cutting) method, feedrate is adjusted
automatically to an optimum level according to motor load
continuously. Thus, cutting is completed in shortest possible
time without burning specimen.

SEMI-AUTOMATIC SERIAL PARALLEL CUTTING

Specimen can be sliced into multiple pieces semi-automatically.
Up to 25 slices can be cut. Thickness of each slices can be set as
desired. The software will inform operator to how many mm

HYBRID CUTTING
If the sample consists of more than one layer and each layer
needs to be cut at different speeds, the Hybrid Cutting feature
will fully meet this need. Thanks to the Hybrid Cutting feature,
up to 5 different cutting parameters (feed rate, disc speed, pulse, Main Power Switch
force, distance, etc.) can be set within the same cutting process.
When the disc comes to the next cutting layer, the cutting
process continues with the cutting parameters belonging to that  Starting screen will appear as below:

ACCESSORIES AND CONSUMABLES

Clamping Devices and Accessories

Many sample preparation applications require the sectioning of a specimen from a small or irregularly shaped sample or component
part. The small size or irregular sample shape can create positioning and clamping difficulties for the operator. To overcome these
difficulties, METKON offers a number of special clamping vises for use with MICRACUT 200-S precision cutters. METKON 200-
S precision cutter is equipped with a stainless steel clamping arm. All clamping vises are made of corrosion resistant material and
can be attached to the cutters clamping arm in seconds for fast and positive clamping of parts having virtually any configuration.

Abrasive cut-off wheels

The most commonly used abrasives for the cutting of different materials are SiC and Al2O3. Silicon carbide is suitable for non-
ferrous metals, whereas Aluminum oxide is preferred for ferrous metals. Hard wheels are used for cutting soft materials while soft
wheels are recommended for cutting harder materials.

Diamond and CBN Cut-off Wheels

Metal bonded wheels are used for cutting brittle materials, such as ceramics or minerals, while resin bonded wheels are used for
ductile materials, such as sintered carbides or composites that contain predominantly hard phases. Several factors are important for
choosing the appropriate wafering blade.
These include:
“High & low concentration metal bonded diamond wheels”, “Diamond size (fine or medium)”, “blade diameter” and “blade
thickness”. The diamond concentration is important because it directly affects the load, which is applied during cutting. For example,
brittle materials such as ceramics require higher effective loads to section, whereas ductile materials such as metals require more
cutting points. The result is that low concentration blades are recommended for sectioning hard brittle materials such as ceramics and
high concentration blades are recommended for ductile materials containing a large fraction of metal or plastic.
CBN wheels are usually used for cutting very hard metals.

Cutting Fluid

Cutting fluid is one of the most important thing to protect sample surface and the machine. Its function is to reduce heat generation
between cut-off wheel and specimen surface during cutting operation. Second function is to prevent corrosion from specimen surface
and the machine parts. METCOOL II has special anti-corrosion additives as well as perfect cooling properties. It is nature friendly,
boron-free and anti-bacterial. METCOOL-NF provides perfect corrosion protection when cutting reactive metals like copper, brass,
