MOTION
This house should promote resubordination of Indonesian Police Organization from the President.

MOTION DEFINITION
The police organization is under and responsible to the president as the head of state. Because the
head of state is the one who will lead the Indonesian state in the future. Because the suggestion
regarding placing the police organization should be under the ministry is an unconstitutional thought
and denies the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia as a rule of law. There is an understanding
of what subordination is where the meaning of the word is placement in a lover class, rank, or
position the act or process of subordinating someone or something or the state of being
subordinated. So, from there we already understand the standard definition of subordination, in
motion which is written as resubordinating means to have the meaning of rearranging the position.

KEY ARGUMENTS
I have 3 arguments to talk about police resubordination. So, my first argument was with a president
they can manage internal problems better or can also be called a mediator in a problem. The second
argument was the police are more aware of work agendas because the president receives
complaints so that he can develop an activity agenda for the police. And the last argument was a
police system that is centralized and is under direct presidential orders is the best choice in the
dynamics of a democracy that is not too mature, such as in Indonesia, with a national character that
is multi-ethnic, multicultural, multireligious and many islands. Because the national police have
proven to be able to glue the nation together dampen social unrest and extinguish the “fire” of
intolerance movements and other subversive movements.

ARGUMENT ELABORATION
I don’t agree with the motion regarding the resubordination of Indonesian police organization from
the president because according to the three arguments I said that the police must be under the
administration of the president. and right now, I will elaborate on the arguments that I mentioned
before. So, I will start with my first argument which is with a president they can manage internal
problems better or they can also be called a mediator in a problem. In this case, we can see the case
of Ferdy Sambo, where there were riots or problems within the police sector, where there were
cases of murder. The case was carried out at a very long time because the police agency was not
correct, initially the case was handled by General Listyo Sigit Prabowo but because the problem was
not resolved, the president asked the minister of social affairs to help resolve this problem. So, that
this proves that problems will be resolved more quickly if the president has interverned. Now I will
move to my second argument which is called that the police are more aware of work agendas
because the president receives complaints so he can set an activity agenda for the police. Because
what we know is that the president is the head of state or the head of a country, this also makes the
police under the auspices of the president because the people who don’t lie him can target the
president. here we know that because the president is the head of state, there must be a lot of
people who complain about whatever problems are happening in Indonesia, then the president will
later order the police to solve the case. For example, there was a recent murder case that forced the
police to intervene in the presidential administration because of complaints from the public.
Because there is a president as the head of state, which makes many cases such as theft, murder,
and various other negative things to be resolved more quickly.
