Teachers day speech

Good morning teachers, students and the principal of the white school international. September 5th is a
day of special occasion, A.K.A The teacher’s day, as we celebrate the birth of a former president and the
first vice president of India, a scholar, a bharat ratna awardee. Yes, he is none other than Dr. Sarvepalli
Radhakrishnan. We celebrate this day as a remembrance and Thanksgiving Day for a legend who brough
a revolution in the field of education. He authored the book “The Philosophy of Rabindranath Tagore” in
1917 and placed Indian Philosophy on the world map. He was also recognized by the Oxford University
in 1936 for his excellence in teaching and was famous among the students when he was a professor in
various universities in various states. Then later, he was elected fellow of the British academy and
became the first vice president of India, followed by taking the role of the nation’s second president
from 1962 to 1967. He was also awarded India’s highest civilian honour, the Barat Ratna in 1984 and the
British Order of Merit in 1963. But sadly, he passed away on April 17 of 1975. Therefore, I would like to
thank all the teachers of the White School International for their hard work and dedication to cherish
the students and make them find their potentials. So, once again, thank you all the teachers for your
hard work. Have a great day everyone.
