CHARITY IN MY VILLAGE

In the winter of 2021, after the Covid, we returned to normality and in my town
they received the information that a company was collecting masks until March
of that year in exchange for money.
Then a neighbor came up with the idea of creating a rubbish in the town square
to put all the masks there. He explained that this money would go to the town's
health center to be able to provide the necessary resources to do tests,
vaccines, etc.
W were all scared because we only had 2 months to be able to collect as many
masks as possible.
All the town agreed, since we thought it was a very good idea in order to be
safe and prevent the same thing from happening again.
Me and my family every time we went to a city, we took a bag to get masks and
then my mother washed them, because if the masks were not in good condition
they would not accept them.
In my house between my mother, my father, and I we got 2000 masks in 2
months, we did not believe it, there were many masks in a short time. As we
had signed up at the company, they came to collect the masks and brought a
machine that counted all of them one by one. Finally we got a total of 600,000
masks, since 300 neighbors had participated. As each mask cost 0.10 cents,
we managed to raise €60,000 for healthcare.
In the end it was profitable to have obtained so many masks since we obtained
a lot of money. Hopefully something like this will come out again so we can
raise more money and help each other.
