Few Definitions
Colorimeter
Filter photometer used to measure color concentration of a substance in solution.
Ex: Yellow sample passes yellow light and absorbs blue and green.
Flame Photometer
Measures color intensity of flame caused by oxygen and substance
Spectrophotometer
Measures light absorption by a liquid substance at various wavelengths.
Aperture Impedance Cell Counter (Blood Cell Analyzer)
Through the measurement of impedance of the number of different particles in the
blood like red blood cell, white blood and platelets are measured.
The impedance is measured from the ratio potential drop (which is found from
voltage amplifier) to current (which is sent to the blood through constant current
source)
pH and Blood Gas Analyzer
pH analyzer is used to measure pH level in the blood to check the pH balance.
Blood Gas Analyzer is used to measure gas level such as O2, CO2 etc. in the blood
special in the blood of artery.
