Lab Name: Study of ECG report.

 Basic Information:
Name: Shamsuzzaman Sharif
Age: 25 years.
Sex: Male.
Date & Time of test: 28-10-2022 & 18:12:59

 Objectives:
 To find out the features of an ECG report.
 To find out the parameters of an ECG report
 To check the noise presented in the report
 To check whether any abnormalities exist
 To evaluate the overall conditions of the cardiac system

 Calibration of the report:

 25.00mm/sec (Horizontal axis)
 10.0mm/mV (Vertical axis)

Features and Parameters

 Heart Rhythm:
Diagnosis: Regular Heart Rhythm.
Comment: The number of large squares presents within one R-R interval is
almost equal for all the cases.

 Heart Rate(HR in BPM):

Diagnosis: HR(BPM)=(1500/19.5)=76.92 BPM
Comment: The Number of Large squares in the R-R interval is almost four(4) or
20 small squares, but slightly less. Differs between (18-21). So, we take 19.5 small
squares on average

 Cardiac Axis:
Diagnosis: Normal Axis
Comments: Lead II has the most positive deflection compared to leads I and III.
Axis can also be determined as normal because: In Lead-I and lead(aVF), the
differences of magnitudes between R and S (R-S) are positive in both cases

 P waves:
1. P waves present.
2. each P wave is followed by a QRS complex.
3. direction and shape are normal
4. inverted in aVR
5. most prominent and positive in I &II and almost equal
6. less in III, aVL and aVF

 QRS Complex:
1. large and inverted in aVR
2. largest in II
3. less and equal in I and aVF
4. least in III and aVL
 Q wave:
1. Normal

 R & S wave:

1. The transition from S > R wave to R > S wave occur in V3 or V4.

 T wave:
1.almost 0 in III
2.almost equal in I and II(Noisy)
3.T waves are normally inverted in V1 and aVR with predominant QRS
complex
 U wave: Not present

2
 PR Segment (Not interval):
1. Normal in duration (1 small square)

 ST Segment:
1. It is an isoelectric line (neither elevated nor depressed).

 PR Intervals:
1. uniform throughout the rhythm
2. Duration is normal (3 small square boxes)

 QT Intervals:
1. Normal duration (about 8.5 to 9 small squares)

 QRS complex interval

1. Normal in duration (2 small squares)

 Noise:
3
We get noises like as :

 Power Noise:
Most of the Leads are affected by Power Line Noise.
 Electrode contact Noise:
Mostly seen in lead V2. But less seen in V5.
Besides, Baseline drift Noise, Shift Noise etc. may be presented
 Abnormalities:
No abnormalities found.
 Conclusion:
The ECG is tried to Investigate precisely and properly. In this ECG
paper it is calibrated as 25mm/sec and 1mm/mv. The human
diagnosis may have some calculation errors due the tiny scaling. In
this report, The important features are investigated precisely and
properly to find the characteristics of Cardiac Activity and also the
parameters are measured with Hawk-eye. But it may be normal to
have slight differences with computer measurement of parameters.
But , the features are investigated Properly. From the diagnosis ,
No abnormalities found. The main problem is that the most of the
leads are noisy. Afterall, The investigation is completely
performed.
