1. - The variety of language used in the conversation above is informal language or also known as casual
language, this is caused by the situation that occurs between Helen or Jane, they are in informal situations,
when speaking casual language is usually used in talking with family members and friends. Casual
language has characteristics such as word abbreviation and word shortening, use of slang words, use of
idiomatic language, and colloquialism.
