a. The variety of language used in this conversation is formal language.

b. This conversation uses formal language because formal language is usually used in situations
such as applying for a job, writing business letters, business memos and so on. The characteristics
of formal language include: no word shortening/abbreviation, no slangs (popular), no
abbreviations in phrases.

c. The topic of conversation above talks about business meetings. By using formal language, the
conversation will show the importance of the topic and will discuss serious matters.

Question number 2

This is my office, a beautiful and comfortable office that makes me feel at home working here.
The place is always clean because all employees here are required to sweep and mop when they
come and also when they go home. Even though there is an office boy, we always clean this
place ourselves. organize bookshelves and existing files. I am very happy in this room, apart from
being clean it is also beautiful because of the flowers in this room, to pamper my eyes after being
tired of staring at the computer screen.

Oh yeah, I forgot to introduce myself, OK, my name is Syaiful Umam, usually called Umam. I work
at a palm oil company as a data administrator. I can't believe I've been here for four years,
wandering far from my parents. I am here with my wife and two children trying their luck outside
Java. Even though we are far from our extended family, it feels comfortable here for our small
family. The office is not far from our house, it takes about ten minutes to arrive. Even though the
boss is fierce at the office, we still feel at home and stay here for the sake of our children's
future.

Maybe that's all I can tell you about my beautiful office. and is located not far from the
prospective IKN (Ibu Kota Nusantara).
