You are required to make a video in about 1-3 minutes to (1) talk about your favorite
dish and (2) give your own opinion on what is more important: taste or nutrition.

Suggested steps:

Step 1. Brainstorm as much as you can about your favorite dish by answering the
following questions. Just take notes to remember the information.

1. What’s the name of the dish?

2. Where is it from?
3. What are the ingredients?
4. How healthy is this dish?
5. Why do you particularly like this dish?

Hello teacher, my name is Thu. Today I will talk to you about my

favorite food, it is Vietnamese fresh spring rolls which is also known as Gỏi
cuốn. It is one of the most famous and popular Vietnamese traditional dishes
which comes from the south of Vietnam. In 2019, CNN has voted Vietnamese fresh
spring rolls on the list of the best dishes in the world.
At its core, it consists of rice paper, rice vermicelli, raw vegetables, fresh herbs such
as salad, Vietnamese basil, chives, mint, bean sprouts with pork and shrimp. All of
them are wrapped by rice paper. Vietnamese fresh spring rolls can be served with
peanut sauce. It is definitely good for our health because of its ingredients. The
fresh vegetables in it will add vitamins and fibers that provide many important
health benefits to the body. Boiled pork and shrimp contain less fat and cholesterol
but contain large amounts of lean protein which provide full energy, beside rice
paper and rice vermicelli contain less starch but can help us feel full longer.
I particularly love this dish because of its nutritious ingredients as mentioned
above and the appetizing taste of peanut sauce with a little salty, sweet and aroma
of peanuts. In addition, it can save our time for preparing with a simple recipe and
easy to buy in any market.
For me, nutrition is more important than taste. However nutritious food doesn’t
mean it is not tasty and tasty food doesn’t mean it has no nutritional value. It is up
to you. Your food choice each day can affect your future health. So if I have to
choose, I will choose nutrition because it is a vital aspect of a healthy lifestyle and
it can help me not only reduce the risk of many diseases but also improve my
ability to recover from illness.
