places only; do not round of numbers or answers in order to have uniformity. (Ex.: 1. 456 shall
be taken as 1.45)

1. Determine the total voltage of five (5) series-connected batteries if each has a voltage of
12 volts.
2. Voltage sources of 9V, 12V, and 1.5 V are connected in series. What would be the total
voltage.
3. Voltage sources of 1.5V, 1V, and 9V are connected in parallel. Determine the total
voltage.
4. Four (4) batteries rated at 13.5V @ 20A are connected in series. Determine (a) Et (b) It.
5. Determine the total current produced by a parallel-connected current sources at 1A, 2A,
and 3A respectively.
6. A device needs 3A of current. If you have in possession two batteries, each with 1A of
current, (a) how much current is needed to suffice the requirement, and (b) what type
of connection shall be employed?
7. A household uses appliances rated at 40W, 80W, and 500W. Determine the total power
used by the appliances.
8. Three resistors valued at 100Ω, 200Ω, and 300Ω respectively are connected in series.
Determine the total resistance.
9. Determine the total resistance of two resistors connected in parallel valued at 60 Ω and
30 Ω respectively.
