The Best Things to Do on Moorea

Moorea is a tropical paradise you should visit, with its turquoise lagoons, green mountain views, and
perfect surf. It is a popular honeymoon destination. It's a romantic place where couples like to spend
quality time together.

This island will help you rest your body and brighten your soul since it provides the best sights and
attractions nature offers. Moorea offers a diverse range of activities from hiking to scuba diving and
many more.

Below is our list of fun and exciting activities for you to do in Moorea.

Magic Mountain

Moorea is an island with a lot of fun places, like the famous Magic Mountain. To get to the top, you can
walk for 30 minutes or ride a quad. You can see a beautiful lagoon and the majestic Mount Rotui on the
way to the top.

Don't forget to bring hiking shoes for a comfortable walk and water bottles to stay hydrated if you're
going hiking. You should also bring sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun and a hat to keep the sun
out of your eyes and head.

Snorkel and scuba dive with reef sharks and stingrays

The next thing you should do in Moorea is snorkeling or scuba diving. If you go scuba diving in the
beautiful seas around Moorea, you'll see a whole new world under the water. It lets you see stingrays
and reef sharks in their natural environment, which is very cool.

If you prefer to stay on the surface, snorkeling is also a great way to enjoy the sea. You can also snorkel
at night on Moorea, which is a great way to see marine life that only comes out at night.

Go surfing

It's important to keep in mind that the waves are over the outer barrier reefs. For new surfers, it might
be tricky to get to the waves. The best place to stay is the Moorea Surf Inn, which is close to where you
can surf. The Inn is so close to the waves, when the surf is big, you can hear it rumbling from your bed.
Visit Belvedere

To get to Belvedere, turn off the main highway and drive along Opunohu Bay. There are several places
to park along the way. The best way to get to the lookout is to park near the bottom of the hill and and
hike to the lookout.

There are several dirt trails you can take to get to the lookout point and through the forest. These trails
are often used for XTerra races held on the island, but they are also great for a day of hiking. It's a long
walk, so its not recommended for families with kids or people who aren't in good shape.

Hike the Tres Cocos trail

The "Belvedere" lookout is where the "Tres Coco" trail starts. From there, you can see amazing views of
the Bay and Cook Opunuhu.

At first, the trail goes downhill. After 15 minutes, the trail splits into two. If you want to keep hiking, take
the trail to the left. After about 40 minutes of going downhill and crossing two streams, you'll reach the
valley.
After hiking for 30 minutes and crossing the second stream, you get your first clear view of the dense
forest. You will be looking at Mount Rotoi, which is surrounded by pineapple plantations.

Go on a circle island tour with Franckyfranck Tours.

Franck, a local guide, has spent the last 15 years living and working on the island, and as a result, he has
an in-depth awareness of island life and an incredible insight into how to best enjoy it.

Franck and his crew have researched extensively and uncovered a unique route through Moorea,
including several previously uncharted dirt roads and forest paths inaccessible by standard
transportation.

Franckyfranck Moorea Tours allows you to get up close and personal with the stunning volcanic coves
and landscapes that make up the northern beaches.

You can go deep into the island's interior, where you may find vanilla and pineapple farms hidden
among the lush tropical foliage.
Lounge on Temae Beach, Ta'ahiamanu Beach, and Les Tipaniers Beach

Temae Beach
Temae Beach is the most popular location on the island. It is one of Moorea's best beaches, where you
can expect to see towering palm palms, azure waters that are remarkably transparent, and plenty of
sunshine.

It’s best to bring your snorkeling gear, and spend the day diving and swimming around Temae Beach's
underwater attractions.

Ta'ahiamanu Beach
The beach is in a town, and the view of the mountains from there is beautiful. Most of the time, tall
trees are all around it. The long coast has white sand and clear blue water. If you want to spend a day at
the beach doing nothing and taking it easy, this is the beach for you.

Tipaniers Beach
Do you want to drink something while watching the sun go down, but you can't find the perfect spot?
Then you must travel to Sunset Beach, also known as Tipaniers Beach among the locals.

The staff at the resort keeps this beach in pristine condition, and it offers a stunning panorama of Coco
Beach and the waters of the South Pacific.

Whether you go to Tipaniers Beach in the daytime to rest or in the evening to watch the sunset, you will
be blown away by its beauty no matter when you go.

Swim with humpback whales

Humpback whales visit Moorea during certain times of the year. Between the beginning of July and the
end of November, you might see Humpback Whales looking for a mate or a place to raise their young as
they swim around the outer reefs.

You are allowed to swim with humpback whales in Moorea, which is one of the few places in the world
where this is possible. Swimming with humpback whales in Moorea's warm, blue seas is a once-in-a-
lifetime experience. August through October is the best time to go.

Sip fruit juice and rum at the distillery

how it's made.

You may see the famed Brut d'ananas, a unique sparkling pineapple wine.  The fruit is selected with
care, processed, and finally bottled in the plant.
