Clean from the top of the area to the bottom, high horizontal surfaces should be cleaned first.

And then Clean cleaner areas first then dirty areas or objects

Floors should be cleaned last,-important signage required-while cleaning, then dry and remove
signage.

Large and flat surfaces should be cleaned using the ‘S’ shape motion, starting at the furthest point
away without going over the same area twice yet overlapping ever-so-lightly.

Only disinfect surfaces that are visibly clean. Do not disinfect a visibly soiled surface.

Leave visible film when disinfecting

Frequent touch points must always be cleaned such as door handles, call bells, light switches, sink
handles, desks and tables, paper towel dispensers, wheelchair access buttons, Microwave and fridge
handles, elevator buttons, vending machines, printers, Kettles/coffee machines.

Equipment:

Sponges – good for absorbing water-based solutions

Scourgers – for dishes

Yellow dusters – for regular dust everywhere with/without polish

microfibre cloths. – for dust keep dry and for other dirt dampen then fold when too dirty

Glass polishing cloths. – always dry, spray surface with water if needed

Cleaning brushes. – for dirt

A mop and bucket - before mopping make sure water and mop is clean and then start at the furthest
position form the bucket

A dustpan and brush. – for larger particles on the surface

Protective gloves. -always wear

A plastic caddy to carry the essentials.

Vacuum – change setting for carpets and hard floors. 1 for crevices, folds and corners, 2 for skirting
boards, large craved or delicate, 3 is upholstery nozzle for cushions, curtains etc
Vacuum in two directions an side to side
