Mode Number $01
Powertrain information and display currently available data on the diagnostic device. Trouble codes
define on-board test status and vehicle data, such as engine speed, temperature, ignition advance angle,
speed, airflow, and closed-loop status of the fuel system.

Mode Number $02

Display frozen frame data> It is the same as the data in mode 1 , but it is obtained and stored when a
fault occurs and a fault code is defined. Certain parameter identifications (PIDs) in mode 1 are not
applicable in this mode.

Mode Number $03

Display the powertrain or emission type, and the related trouble code consists of a 5-digit code that
identifies the fault. If the data byte of the response message contains multiple trouble code information,
or multiple ECU computers response, there may be multiple response message.

Mode Number $04

Used to clear trouble codes and freeze frame data. This will clear all defined trouble codes, including
freeze frame data and readiness monitor definition.

Mode Number $05

Oxygen sensor test results. This mode displays the oxygen sensor monitoring page and the collected
test results about the oxygen sensor.
There are 9 numbers available for diagnosis:
1 $01 rich to lean, oxygen sensor threshold voltage
2 $02 thin to rich, oxygen sensor threshold voltage
3 $03 the sensor voltage is low when the conversion time is calculated.
4 $04 The sensor voltage is high when the conversion time is calculated
5 05$ Rich to lean switching time in ms
6 06$ lean to rich switching time in ms
7 07$ test minimum voltage
8 08$ test maximum voltage
9 09$ the time between voltage conversions in ms

Mode Number $06

Test results of discontinuous monitoring systems. Usually there is a minimum value, a maximum value,
and the current value of each discontinuous monitoring system. This data is optional, and if required, it
is defined by the vehicle manufacturer.

Mode Number $07

After driving cycle, the trouble code (pending) from the continuous monitoring system is needed to
determine whether there is a fix problem that needed to be repaired. The maintenance technician uses
this to cofirm whether the repair is correct and the trouble code is cleared.

Mode Number $08

This special control mode requires in-vehicle system testing, or bidirecctinal component (if applicable)
control. This mode is specified by the manufacturer.

Mode Number $09

Record vehicle information. This information includes the vehicle VIN code and calibration information
stored in the vehicle's engine control units (ECUs)

Mode Number $0A

Record vehicle information. This information includes the vehicle VIN code and calibration information
stored in the vehicle's engine control units (ECUs). List the saved permanent trouble codes related to
emissions. According to CARB, any trouble code that can light up the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL)
and is stored in non-volatile memory should be recorded as permanent trouble code.
