International des Expositions (BIE) – Paris
Ÿ One country gets selected to host an Expo
once in every ve years, which runs for six

months, and is termed as a World Expo.

Ÿ This is the 39 Edition of the World Expo
started more than 171 year ago and has been
held mostly in America’s, Europe, Japan &
Australia and now U.A.E – Dubai.
Ÿ The largest World Expo was in Shanghai in
year 2010, and Dubai plans to equal or increase
the bar. 192 countries are participating in Expo
2020.
Ÿ Duration is 182 days (6 Months) starting from
01 October 2021 – 31 March 2022.

12kms of walking path with country pavilions
spread out in 3 petal shaped areas titled
Mobility, Opportunity and Sustainability

covering 438 hectares.

Ÿ It will take atleast one full day to cover each

petal just for a basic visit to the country
pavilions.

Ÿ So 3 days are planned for special invitation by

select country pavilions for intense B2B
meetings and networking opportunities /
repeat visits to some pavilions and attendance
to forums.

Ÿ And 2 days planned for visit to RAK Free Zone

and some factory visits and meeting with
Indian Business Promotion councils.
