TOSCA DI EXECUTOR CACHING DATABASE

Exercise 05: Auto-Create the Tosca DI Caching Database

Objective:

➢ By the end of this exercise, you will be able to run your first file load test for Tosca DI Executor to auto-
create the caching database.

Why is this important?

➢ Caching databases store the files and database data. To load the file data into a caching database, we
need to run a Tosca DI load test at least once. This will also help us setting up a DI Connection to view
files and databases loaded into the caching database at later stages.

Instructions:

1. Navigate to the TestCases Folder in the imported Subset: Data Integrity Testing>>Training

Exercises>>0. Connection Prerequisites>>TestCases.

2. Run the TestCase “Load file to auto-setup Caching Database” in Scratchbook. ❑

3. View the Tosca Data Integrity Executor Status window displayed with the execution log. ❑

4. Select Tools>>Options and view the Tosca DI Executor options available. ❑

5. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\TRICENTIS\Tosca Testsuite\Data Integrity\ and view the file
“Tricentis.DataIntegrity.Executor.Windows.exe”.

6. Navigate to C:\Users\<WindowsUser>\AppData\Local\ToscaDataIntegrityExecutor\ and view the file

“Caching.sqlite”.

Hints:
➢ To change the location of Catching Database file, open Tosca Commander Settings, navigate to
Tosca Data Integrity Settings and add a new file path to Caching Database Location field.
However, for correct execution of the tests mentioned in this training, it is recommended to use the
default path mentioned in the exercise.
