(01) (a) Find a unit vector which is perpendicular to both of the vectors 𝑎 = −𝑖 − 4𝑗 +

5𝑘 and 𝑏 = 2𝑖 + 3𝑗 − 2𝑘 . 05 Marks

(b) Find the scalar and vector projections of the vector 𝑎 = 3𝑖 − 𝑗 + 2𝑘 onto

the vector 𝑏 = −2𝑖 − 3𝑗 − 𝑘 .
