    • All organizations certifying to SA8000:2014 for the first time must complete a Self‐Assessment prior to their Stage 1 Audit.
    • All organizations certifying to SA8000:2014 for the first time will receive 4 Independent Evaluations in their first audit cycle.
    • At the end of the first audit cycle, the organization must complete a second Self‐Assessment prior to the Recertification Audit.
    • The CB will only need to complete an Independent Evaluation at Recertification when commencing the second audit cycle and any succeeding audit cycle.
