    2. Apparatus required :- sample Zinc Carbonate ,
    Dil.HCl , Test tube , spatula, Test tube holder , blue
    litmus paper, Lime water solution .

    4. Test for anion

    1.To a pinch of salt A colourless gas with CO2 gas is
    sample add dil. HCl brick effervence is suspected. And anion
    evolved may be CO3 2-

    2. Test the gas with Turns red Gas is acidic


    moist blue litmus
    3. Test the gas Lime water turns CO32- is confirmed
    evolved by passing milky
    into lime water
    solution

    5. Equation :-

    ZnCO3 + dil. HCl ZnCl2 + H2O + CO2


    Ca(OH)2 + CO2 CaCO3 + H2O
