At the start of my drop year, I had about 50% of my syllabus complete because I was only preparing

for boards. I started preparing right from the day after NEET 2021. But I was not 100% serious at the
beginning, I thought NEET 2022 would be held in September.

And there’s our mistake #1- Be mentally prepared for NEET in May, and do not get involved in
postponement drama whatsoever. I was praying for postponement (all of a sudden I became
religious😂 ) but I was mentally prepared for July 17 th.

Mistake #2- ignoring biology. Cost me hundreds of ranks. I wrote part tests every week- all week I
did physics and chemistry and I crammed biology the day before the test. I did not do biology PYQs
at all. I was blissfully ignorant. Concentrate on biology. Biology should be your S.O. for the rest of
your NEET preparation. I realized how bad my biology was in June 2022 and had to ignore physics
completely that month and focus on biology.

Mistake #3- ignoring NCERTs- Physics and chemistry NCERTs are just as important as biology NCERTs.
Sadly, I realized this only in February 2022 so I couldn’t focus on them right from the start. But for
the next 5 months, I was fully NCERT-focused. And by NCERT, I mean the whole package- the theory,
intext questions, back exercises, and exemplar.
