• "Indian National Congress always claimed to be representative or all the segments of


Indian society"; Keeping in view of this statement, critically evaluate the emergence of All
India Muslim League as a counterforce. Justify your answer with five valid points.

ANSWER NO 1:

The Indian national congress is one of two major political parties in


india.Indian national congress was established in 1885.they claimed that they will protect the
basic rights of minorities.but several incident lead toward the creation of All india muslim
league.

After the emergence of Indian national congress,they shown the interest to protect the
opportunities of hindus only. The prediction of Sir Sayed Ahmed Khan seemed to be proven to
Indian Muslims that, “Hindus and Muslims are two different nations who have different
Ideologies.”

Several events strengthened the desire of the Indian Muslims to organize themselves as a
Separate Community like Urdu-Hindi controversy, partition of Bengal.

Urdu-Hindi controversy strengthened the ideology that muslims and hindus are two separate
nations.congress had continuously claimed that they represents all the communities.but they
were totlly wrong.the reality was opposite to it.

During this era muslims were economly weak and they were also uneducated amd they were
jobless.The situation was getting worse day by day for muslims.They were even struggling to
fullfil their basic needs of life.so sir syed felt that its time to represent muslim community
through creating a party which was established in 1906 known as All india muslim league.

The objective of muslim league was to safeguard the rights of muslims and to bring muslims
close to british government.May 1908 justice amir ali syed organized the branch of all india
muslim league at London and responded the misunderstanding of the hindus against the muslims.

What socio-political contributions of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan made him a saviour of the
Muslims of Sub-continent and British Raj, Explain your answer with five valid points.

ANSWER NO 2:
Sir syed ahmad khan was born in 1917. He was deeply devoted to the cause of
education and believed that widespread education was the only way to enlighten the masses.sir
syed ahmed khan was a savior of the muslims of the sub continent.sir syed ahmed khan was a
hero of muslims during the independence struggle.

He spread political awareness among muslims due to which muslims united as a community to
protect their rights.sir syed ahmad khan had key contributions for welfare of muslims.He
motivated the muslims to absorb the modern education of the west.

Sir syed ahmed khan maintain strong legacy muslims of sub continent.he strongly influenced
other muslim leaders including allama iqbal etc.He won the heart of sub continent muslims
many times.

His continous struggle had awaken the muslims of sub continent which made them realize that
they are separate nation with distinctive culture.this ideology lead to creation of separate state for
the muslims of subcontinent.

During his career, Syed repeatedly called upon Muslims to loyally serve the British Raj and
promoted the adoption of Urdu as the lingua franca of all Indian Muslims. Syed criticized the
Indian National Congress.

Sir syed ahmed khan used the word nation for the muslims.in 1988 he set up the patriotic
association to meet up the proponda of the congress muslims and hindus joined the
association.There are many universities and building in Pakistan bear his name.
