Essential Setup
● Configure Leading Zeros setting.
○ It determines if called numbers are padded with leading
zeros or spaces.
● Configure ticket number range.
○ It defines the preset ticket range called by .
● Configure Can Skip Numbers setting.
○ It determines if the next ticket number is incremented
from the currently called number or preset ticket range. 3

● Configure WiFi Channel number.

Essential Setup - Leading Zeros
● To configure Leading Zeros setting
○ Power off Counter Terminal (CT).
○ Hold button and power on CT.
○ CT will beep and display Load Default? N.
○ Press button one or more times until it
displays Leading Zeros: X , where X is the
current setting.

○ Press to toggle the selection
between Y and N.
■ For Y, it will pad called numbers with
leading zeros instead of spaces.
○ Press button to accept the selection.

○ To save the setting, exit setup by either
■ Pressing one or more times until it
displays Exit Setup… or
■ Leaving it idle for about 10 seconds and it
will beep once and display Auto-exiting….
○ If there is any changes to its settings, it will
restart. Otherwise, it will blink ---CLOSED---.

Essential Setup - Ticket Range
● To set ticket range’s start number
○ Power off Counter Terminal (CT).
○ Hold button and power on CT.
○ CT will beep and display Load Default? N.
○ Press button one or more times until it
displays Start No: XXXX , where XXXX is the
current start number.

○ Use to delete existing start number.
○ Use the numeric keys to key in the desired
start number.
○ Press button to accept the new start
number.
○ To save the setting, exit setup.

● To set ticket range’s end number
○ Power off Counter Terminal.
○ Hold button and power on CT.
○ CT will beep and display Load Default? N.
○ Press button one or more times until it
displays End No: XXXX , where XXXX is the
current end number.

○ Use to delete existing end number.
○ Use the numeric keys to key in the desired
end number.
○ Press button to accept the new end
number.
○ To save the setting, exit setup.

Essential Setup - Can Skip Numbers
● To configure Can Skip Numbers setting
○ Power off Counter Terminal (CT).
○ Hold button and power on CT.
○ CT will beep and display Load Default? N.
○ Press button one or more times until it
displays CanSkipNumber: X , where X is the
current setting.

Essential Setup - Can Skip Numbers
○ Press to toggle the selection
between Y and N.
■ For Y, the next ticket number is
incremented from the currently called
number instead of preset ticket range.
○ Press button to accept the selection.
○ To save the setting, exit setup.

Essential Setup - WiFi Channel
● For best link reliability of the system, use
the least congested WiFi channel at an
installation site by:
○ Selecting the least congested channel
using a mobile App such as Wifi
Analyser.

○ Configure the Counter Terminal to use
the selected channel.

Essential Setup - Find WiFi Channel
● Launch Wifi Analyser app
and touch to view all
WiFi signals at the site.
● Check WiFi signals at the
location of all CT50 and
CD50s.

● Select an empty WiFi channel if such
common empty channel exists at the
location of all CT50 and CD50s.
● Otherwise, select a channel whose
strongest signal is the lowest among all
the channels.

● To set the Counter Terminal to the
selected WiFi channel
○ Power off Counter Terminal (CT).
○ Hold button and power on CT.
○ CT will beep and display Load Default? N.

○ Press button one or more times until it
displays WiFi Ch(1-13):XX , where XX is the
current channel number and ranges from 1 to
13.
○ Use to delete existing end number.
○ Use the numeric keys to key in the desired
end number.

○ To save the setting, exit setup.

Advanced Setup
● Configure the number of Counter Display
(CD).
● Configure to use Ethernet instead of WiFi
link when there are more than 4 CDs
connected to the Counter Terminal.

● Restore its settings to default values as a
last resort when its settings are too
messed up.

Advanced Setup - Set CD Count
● To configure the number of Counter
Display (CD),
○ Power off Counter Terminal (CT).
○ Hold button and power on CT.
○ CT will beep and display Load Default? N.

○ Press button one or more times until it
displays CD Cnt(1-Z):X , where X is the current
number of CDs and Z is the maximum number
of CDs.
○ Use to delete existing number of CDs.
○ Use the numeric keys to key in the desired
number of CDs.

○ Press button to accept the new value.
○ To save the setting, exit setup.

● Alternatively, access its setup page to
configure the number of CDs:
○ Connect the CT’s network port to the network
port of a PC or laptop.
○ Open a web browser in the PC or laptop and
enter CT’s IP address in address bar to access
its setup page.

○ The page is password protected.
○ Enter the username and password when
prompted.
○ user is the default username and password.

○ Select the desired number of CD from the
Number of Counter Display dropdown.
○ Click Submit button to save the changes.
○ CT will restart to apply the new settings.

Advanced Setup - Use Ethernet Link
● To use Ethernet instead of WiFi link,
○ Access its setup page.
○ Untick Use WiFi checkbox.
○ Enter the desired network settings in the IP
Address, Netmask and Gateway’s IP Address
fields.

○ All CDs must be set to the same sub-net as the
CT.
○ Click Submit button to save the changes.
○ CT will restart to apply the new settings.

Advanced Setup - Web Authentication
● To change the username and password
for accessing its web pages,
○ Click on Web Authentication Setup link at the
bottom of its setup page.
○ Enter the desired value in the Username and
Password fields. Click Submit button.
○ CT will restart to apply the new settings.

Advanced Setup - Load Defaults
● To load factory default settings,
○ Power off Counter Terminal (CT).
○ Hold button and power on CT.
○ CT700 will beep and display Load Default? N.
○ Press to toggle the selection of N
to Y and then press .
○ CT displays Loading default. and then restart.

Hardware Diagnostic Facility
● During its startup, CT will briefly turn on
all dots on its LCD panel.
○ This is useful for detecting faulty dots.
● It has
○ Test Suite to test its LCD, buzzer and keypad.
○ LCD Test (for production burn-in test).

● To run Test Suite,
○ Power off Counter Terminal (CT).
○ Hold button and power on CT.
○ CT will beep and display Load Default? N.
○ Press button one or more times until it
displays Run TestSuite? N.

○ Press to toggle the selection of N
to Y and then press .
○ It runs LCD test first by turning on all dots and
then displaying all the printable ΑSCII
characters on its LCD display.
○ When the test ends, it beeps once and
displays Keypad Test.
