So near the horizon is a german romantic drama which was directed by Tim Trachte
based on Jessica Koch’s novel. Luna Wedler stars as Jessica Koch, an eighteen
year old girl. Who will fall in love Danny Taylor, played by Jannik Schümann. The
film is based on a true story.

18-year-old Jessica Koch will fall in love with Danny Taylor, the handsome and
successful kickboxer and model. Behind his outwardly perfect appearance, however,
lies a deeply traumatized man. Danny was severely abused and raped by his father
when he was only 11 years old. One consequence of this was that he became
infected with HIV. However, the young woman doesn’t give up
This film is really beautiful, touching and spectacular. Jannik Schümann was
exxellent as the abused boy. Jessica’s family can even serve as a good example for
them. For example, that they don’t look at the world through a pair of pink glasses.
However it is one of th ebest romantic film of recent years.
