CHOCOLATE/CHOCOLATE
COVERED
STRAWBERRIES

NOTE: If your goal is weight

loss, please consume this in
moderation – it is still
extremely high in calories. I’ve
found that making the
strawberries helps get a bit of
a chocolate fix in without
having too much at once. If
you’re looking to bulk up, it
can be a good way to get in
some extra fats while also
making your sweet tooth
happy

Ingredients:
For the Chocolate:

1/2 cup cocoa or cacao

powder (best quality you’re
willing to get, naturally)
1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (real
vanilla, not imitation)
1-2 tbsp honey (raw is best)
pinch of salt (optional)

For the Strawberries:

Fresh strawberries, stems and
leaves still on

What to do:

Start with melting the

coconut oil. I just pop mine
into the microwave for
about 20-30 seconds.
Add in the cocoa powder,
vanilla, and stir it up.
Now add the honey. Add it
a little at a time – the more
honey you add, the sweeter
it will be. I have also used
liquid stevia as a
replacement for the honey
and it works great.

Stir

If you want to just have

chocolate, and not chocolate
covered strawberries, take this
mixture and pour into a
shallow dish or mold. My
personal favorite is to use a
silicon ice cube tray like this
one that has fun shapes.

Put in the refrigerator and wait

about 10-30 minutes until it’s
hardened. The time it takes
depends on how thick the
pieces of chocolate you are
trying to make are.

For the strawberries!

Grab a strawberry by it’s

stem, being careful not to
pull it off.
Dip the strawberry into the
chocolate, and roll it
around, covering all but the
very top of the berry.
As you finish dipping, put
them on a plate.
Place the plate in the
refrigerator for at least 10
minutes or until all of the
chocolate has hardened.
