(1) Use JKL Industries’ code of conduct to answer the following questions.
How would you communicate the code of conduct?
A. Activities
HR policies and practices it is important to incorporate the behaviour expectations
detailed under the code of conduct into work practices. For an organisation’s code of
conduct to be effective in governing the way in which employees behave towards
internal personnel and external clients, the expectations it sets out must be included
in all policies and practices across the organisation. This allows the code of conduct to
‘come to life’ and have an impact across the organisation.
Strategies
Once the Code of Conduct has been developed for JKL Industries, it needs to be
communicated effectively to the rest of the organizational members for its successful
implementation and better outcome. A communication strategy must be established
that includes the following:

• Every employee must be given a copy of the Code of Conduct.


• Every individual employee must be clear about his/her responsibility for abiding by
the provisions of the Code.
• Organizational commitment towards the Code needs to be clarified to the
employees.
• Discussion sessions with the employees must be initiated on a regular basis.

B. Who would you consult and why?

The HR Manager will consult to the victim that other employee had attacked and would bring
up to the government if there is no other way. recordkeeping policies.

HR Manager will consult and ensure team members are clear about the ethical
expectation of their behaviour through:

• education regarding the organisation’s code of ethics, code of conduct and


organisational values

• training regarding the practical application of the code of ethics and code of
conduct in the workplace using scenarios

• debrief of recent business situations involving ethics and values during team
meetings to assist with learning what is expected.

C. How would you monitor employee adherence to the code of conduct?

For monitoring the employee adherence to the Code of Conduct, a training course named
‘Living the Code’ can be developed that conducts a session every regular interval to
acknowledge and educate the organizational members on the established standards and
provisions of the Code. All members are required to complete the training session every
year, especially the newly employed ones. Moreover, the employee behaviour and conducts
are closely looked after and monitored in the form of performance management that
provides a great deal of information regarding the adherence of employee to the established
Code of Conduct.

D. How would you incorporate the code of conduct into HR policies and practices?
The Code of Conduct that has been developed needs to be incorporated thorough within the
HR policies and practices. The Code is more likely to impact the original beliefs as well as
operation of the organization JKL Industries. The Code would achieve complete
implementation as well as integration in the organization when increased number of
stakeholders gets involved within its development or creation process. Just the way process
recommended for creation, alignment, and interaction of organizational values or strategic
plan, similarly participation leads to the successful integration of the Code.

E. How would you incorporate the code of conduct into service level agreements?

We will make sure the work has been done according to the policy and procedure also we
need to make sure the relevant act and legislations. We will need to consider the mission,
vision and values of the organisation and then HR will formulates the model to achieve the
organisation goals. According to the organisations goal we will formulate the code and
conduct to the service level agreement.

F. How can the effective implementation by HR of a code of conduct contribute to


business and operational success?

HR formulates the model and code and conduct to achieve organisation goals and all the
employees of the organisations follow that accordingly. This model helps the organisation to
achieve the goal and streamlines the operation of the business. So we can say that the
success and the streamline of organisation operations much depends on HR model and
code/conduct.

C. How would you personally ensure that you adhered to (and were seen to adhere
to) the organisation’s code of conduct?

Ensure the code of conduct is observed across the organisation. You will need to
ensure that codes of ethics and codes of conduct are observed across the organisation.
As an HR professional, some of the ways you can do this include ensuring HR policies
and procedures – such as recruitment policies or performance management policies –
are consistent with codes of conduct. You will also need to develop communication
action plans to ensure that codes of conduct are understood and able to be applied.
You may need to undertake a training needs analysis to determine teams or individual
competencies with regard to the application or knowledge of ethical practices and
arrange required training.

You will need to show leadership by embodying the attributes and values described by the
code. You will need to:

● be honest with internal and external clients: develop a reputation for truthfulness
● ensure consistency and fairness in your personal behaviour
● eliminate the fact or appearance of conflict of interest
● monitor ethics and be seen to take ethical behaviour seriously.
