examination and waiting for the result. The course starts by
the Ist week of April and ends by middle of May. The exact
dates will be announced at the time of joining. The timing is
 from 9 am to 12 noon & 1 pm to 4 pm. This class has several
advantages:
1) After the SSLC examination the students get about 3 months
before they join the next course. During this time the students
engage themselves in multifarious activities which have
negative effect on their future studies. They never exert their
mind on studies. The effect is that they fall into a lethargic
mood and are not able to restart their studies when the schools
reopen for the 11th standard. Most of them find it difficult to
work as hard as they were working upto SSLC examination.
This is the reason why many top rankers of SSLC fail
miserably at higher levels. You might have seen the Diesel
engine of a train idling all the time when it halts at a station. It
is not switched off. If switched off, it is difficult to restart. This
is the reason why the engine idles throughout the halt at the
station. In a similar manner if a student discards his studies
for 2 or 3 months continuously he will find it difficult to restart.
He must engage himself in some sort of useful studies. The
most useful study will be of his 11th standard portions.
2) During these 1½ months he can go through the entire first
year portions rapidly. It gives him sufficient knowledge to follow
his 11th standard portions easily in his/her school.
3) It gives the Malayalam medium students a chance to get an
acquaintance with English medium instructions. It will help
them to follow their English medium text books easily.
4) It will also help the olympiad aspirants to get extra
knowledge about important topics of 11 th standard. They
will have better chance of getting through the olympiad.
5) The students attempting IIT, JIPMER, AIIMS examinations
get a prelude to these examinations during this bridge course.
The fee for the course is Rs.18000/- including GST. It
includes about 250hrs of oral coaching and study materials for
th re e subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology /
Mathematics. Outstation students must preferably stay in our
hostel. Hostel fee for the course is Rs. 12000. Rs. 1000 will be
deducted from the hostel fees, if the student discontinues
the hostel.
13. FOUNDATION COURSE
This course is conducted by Prof. P. C. Thomas Educational
& Charitable Trust. The course is meant to help students
desirous of securing admission to IITs, IISERs, AIIMS,
JIPMER and other prestigious institutions. Classes 7th to
10th standard form a crucial period where the foundation for
preparation for JEE Main & Advanced, NEET and KVPY has
to be laid.
It also helps students who are preparing for competitive
exams like NTSE and OLYMPIADS.
Coaching is given in Physics, Chemistry, Biology,
Mathematics and Mental Ability The class is from 2.00 pm
to 5.00 pm on every Sunday. The course is absolutely free.
Students will be admitted based on the Scholarship Exam
conducted in the month of May every year.
14. ONLINE TRAINING
We provide online test training for JEE Main & Advanced
in our labs. Online test training simulates examination conditions
and helps us to test students in the updated JEE pattern.
WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO
If you want admission, you have to register your name
in the appropriate application form which is available free of
cost. You cannot take away the application form. You have to
fill it up and return it to the office then itself.
At the time of registration you will get a registration
card indicating the batch, date of admission and what you
have to do at the time of admission.
Registration begins as soon as the SSLC/CBSE/ICSE
marks are known.
Registration for Repeaters batch begins as soon as
the entrance examination result is published.
 Discontinuing Class Room Coaching
A student who wants to discontinue the class room course
has two options.
1) Change to correspondence course OR
2) request for refund of eligible amount.
A student who wants to change from one course to another in
the same institution will be allowed to do so if space permits.
REFUND OF FEES (General Norms)
If you discontinue the class room course you have
joined, you are entitled for a partial refund of fee, as
per the following norms
a) The applicaton for refund must be made in the
prescribed form available free of cost from the office
on request.
b) Admission fees will not be refunded. It is the cost of
Registration form, Brochure, Joining memo, List of
hostels, Application forms, Identity & Mark card
and office procedures.
c) The cost of study material supplied at the time of
admission or later will not be refunded.
d) An amount of Rs. 1000 more will be deducted as
refund processing fee.
e) GST will not be refunded.
f) For getting refund of the remaining amount the
student or guardian has to apply in the prescribed
application form. If the application is submitted in
person, he will get a receipt indicating the date of
receiving the application. If not submitted in person
the application is to be sent by registered post A/D.
The date of receiving the application will be taken
for calculating the amount of refund.
g) (1) Number of sessions taken for deduction at the above
rates will be the sessions conducted at the centre
between the starting of the course and the receipt of
refund application. Whether the student was actually
present or not is not taken into consideration.
(2) The actual number of sessions conducted may be
more than that quoted above. It depends on the time
available before the examination. Any how those
sessions will not be included for refund.
h) The following items namely
(1) Fee Receipt (2) Identity cum Mark card must be
surrendered along with the application for refund.
Without the above items the refund cannot be made.
i) The refund amount will be given as crossed cheque
in the name of the parent or guardian within 30
days after the receipt of the application for refund.
NOTE
1. The timings given are only approximate. Necessary
changes will be made as and when required.
2. Success in entrance examination depends on many things.
The coaching you get from the coaching centre is very
important. But your preparation to digest what is given in
the class and to reproduce it at the time of examination,
your mental disposition in the examination hall, your
speed, your power of grasping, the number of seats
available for each subject etc. are also important. Hence
securing a seat for entrance coaching does not by itself
ensure a seat in the Professional College.
3. Admission to the class room is restricted by the Identity
Card supplied and admission to examination Hall is
restricted by the Hall Tickets supplied.
4. On matters regarding discipline the decision of the
management is final.

The institution is situated at about 200 m from the
Swaraj round on the Palghat Road. The land marks on the

Catechism Classes
Catholic students having Sunday Catechism are advised
not to join the Sunday Morning classes. They can join either

afternoon classes or Vacation classes. Catholic students who

they produce a no objection certificate from the parish priest.
