Changing the measuring distance:

Press the «function/on» button until "change distance" appears in the display (approx. 2
seconds). The current distance in centimeters is displayed in the top line.By briefly pressing
«function/on» you can now change this distance. Each time you press the key, the distance
changes:

The displayed distance is automatically selected if no further input is made. After a short
time, the current measured value appears again in the bottom line of the display. The newly
set distance is now displayed in the top line. You can now measure with the new distance.
The measuring distance starts from the field plate (behind the modulator wing), which is
6.4mm in front of the front of the device. This distance is in addition to the measurements in
the measurements

The measuring distance must be taken into account. The distance

after switching the device on and off is always 2 cm.
The electric field meter generally measures the DC voltage field strength. This is converted
into the charge on the measurement object via the set distance and displayed:

Display value [V] = field strength [V/m] x distance [m]

Example: At a distance of 10cm and a displayed value of 1000V, the field strength is:
E = 1.000V / 0,1m = 10.000 V/m

Spacers:
The scope of delivery includes 2 spacers for the measuring distance of 2 cm. These can be
screwed into the front panel.
