Steps to write essay:

1) Understand the subject (try to understand key points of the subject)


2) Collect points related to it
a) Any fact, figure, story, data, quotation etc.
b) Use 5 W +1 H principle What Why When Where Who and How
c) Different aspects Social/Cultural, Political/Administrative, Economical, Historical,
Scientific/ Technological, Psychological, Philosophical, Geographical, International/global
3) Prepare the structure of your essay (you must include both aspects of the essay and then
include as many points as possible)
4) Write introduction (100 (1 page)+100 words(1 page)) (introduction+ explanation)
5) Write main body (for and against 700 (6 pages)+200 words(2 pages))
6) Write conclusion 100 words (1 page)
7) Reassess your essay

Key points before we start writing essay

1) Focus on words like- Only, too/also, can/could, shall/should, along with,


maximum/minimum, probably, possible/impossible
2) Maximum possible aspects must be included. Start from top to bottom approach (universe,
then world, then India and neighbouring countries, State and city or our society which can
be different religious communities, then family, person himself and his inner self )
3) If India is not written specifically then we should think of the entire world.
4) If it is not mentioned specifically about a particular time then we must include different time
periods
