The GUI stands for Graphical User Interface, a term used not only in Java but also in all

programming languages that support GUI development. It is made up of parts of the image
(e.g., buttons, labels, windows) where the user can interact with the page or app. (Larracabal,
2020).

When using the operating system, you may find a warning window open for any error or
notification which is a user-friendly interface. So today I will provide the pros and cons of the
GUI. (Rehman, 2017).

A GUI is a type of interface that is easy to use, even for a beginner. Since the data is
represented by symbols, shapes and icons, users can easily distinguish and navigate options.

GUI interface that is very easy to read.

Speaking of attraction, the GUI interface is very attractive. Compared to the command line
interface, the GUI is stylish and excellent in its design. From this type of attraction, users will
become more involved in their machine. Also, the GUI allows users to monitor the health
status of their device and other network interactions in a more flexible way than to see the
same in text format.

The use of shortcut keys is one of the outstanding features of the GUI. Shortcut keys are useful
especially when there is a need to perform a task that takes a few steps. Just a combination of
the two keys can be used to speed up the process. So, saving a lot of time.

GUI also makes it easy to manage multiple tasks. At the same time, users can work and view
two or more programs. For example, in windows where a movie file is playing, at the same
time it is possible to browse the Internet from a web browser. (Roomi, 2021)
