    There are three types of verbs in Spanish that end in ar, er, and ir. To conjugate these verbs into the present tense, you change the ending of the verb based on its classification - for ar verbs you change the ar to a, for er verbs you change the er to e, and for ir verbs you change the ir to o. For example, the verb for "to eat" is comer, an er verb, so in the present tense it is changed to come; and the verb for "to write" is escribir, an ir verb, so in the present tense it is changed to escribo.

    SPANISH PRESENT TENSE

    eg. escribir hablar comer

    This is the tense table of Spanish, we change the ar, er and ir to the following words.

    eg. ENG : she eats


    SPANISH: come
    The Spanish of eat is comer, and it’s
    an er, so we change the er to e, so it
    is come.

    Eg. ENG : they write


    SPANISH : hablo
