Increased screen use can negatively impact adolescent cognition in a variety of ways.
Adolescents who spend more time in front of the screen are less attentive, rational, and

surpassing the recommended 2 hours of screen use per day, some youths showed a 15%
loss in memory skills. Adolescents may be at danger of addiction if they devote considerable
amounts of time to gadget use on a regular basis, as the device's fast-changing displays
lead the user's brain to create vast amounts of dopamine that make it hard to stop.

Excessive screen time can also have a negative impact on a person's social well-being.
Adolescents who spend too much time in front of the screen miss out on face-to-face
interactions with their family and friends, and instead isolate themselves from the rest of the
world. Teenagers in Australia who spend a lot of time in front of the screen are 44 percent
more likely to feel lonely. Adolescents can be emotionally affected by social isolation, which
can induce anxiety and an increased risk of depression.

Imbalanced diets are characterised by a high concentration of processed, sugary, and high-
calorie foods, or a lack of energy for optimal performance.

Both of these diets have a definite negative impact on teenagers.
