agricultural and allied sector activities (Census 2011)

Youth empowerment and challenges:

1. 15-29 age group- national youth policy 2014


Challenges for the youth:
1. Drug and alcohol and given an example of boy from the community
2. Skill development
3. Sexual activities: JJ Act, 2015 (children in need of care and protection and children in
conflict with law)
4. Employment opportunities and due to covid-19 children also working due to death of
bread-winner
5. Quality education
6. Depression and suicide
7. Conducive environment
Role of government and NGO
BUT family also can provide moral/ethical part in it.
Girls/SC/ST/minorities (STEM) are also vulnerable but physically challenged youth
Violence and youth involvement
Schemes:
1. Pradhan Mantri- Kausal Vikas Yojana
2. Stand Up and Skill India

New education policy 2020 also talks about vocational training 6-8 class

Learning from today:

1. If you are going to conclude then, please ask everyone whether they have spoken or not
2. If you do not know the answer and you feel someone is giving a wrong data, what should
you do
3. Always substantiate the answer with field work knowledge
4. Always touch the marginalized, women, girls and SC/ST and physically challenged group
5. When you get chance to speak, try to complete at least one point and then pass it to
another
6. Don’t give thanks and sorry remarks
7. And if you are initiating the GD then say, good after noon sir and good after noon to all
fellow batchmates, thank you for giving me this opportunity to initiate the GD and the of the
