Materials Needed: Procedure:

 1 Liter of Water 1. Using a marker, label four (4) cups with a capital letter (A for Sugar, B for

7. Using a marker, label four (4) remaining cups with a small letter (a, b, c
and d)
8. Filter the mixture with cotton shirt/ katsa using a setup similar to the figure
on the left.
9. Start with cup A filter and pour it to cup a;
10. Next is cup B filter and pour to cup b;
11. followed by cup C filter and pour to cup c; and
12. the last is cup D filter and pour to cup d.
13. Observe each sample and answer the following guide questions and
complete the table.
