Rules of life

1. Swerving
Once there was a teenager who thought he could drift. He thought it would be a good idea to
take a corner on loose gravel at 75km/h. The turn did not go as planned and the teenager lost
control of the side by side and started swerving. Luckily, the teenager managed to regain control
of the side by side, but that was not before when he almost crashed the side by side into some
trees and a ditch. The teenager learnt a very important lesson “only be overconfident when
you’re not playing with your life.”

2. Chase the bag

it is a cold winter day, and you are out of town running errands all day. You step out of the last
store and realize that it is snowing it is turned into night. You have decided that you will not try
to drive home in the horrendous snowstorm, so you search up the nearest hotels just to find out
you are to break for it. Now you must spend the night in the back of your car. After hours of
getting restless sleep, you finally daze off into your slumber. You start dreaming of a better life
where you have everything you have ever wanted. You wake up to a homeless man throwing a
rock through your window trying to rob you in your sleep. This is when you realize that you
should do whatever it takes to get the lifestyle you want and chase the bag so you can live as
comfortably as you want. (Not a personal story)

3. Been there done that

Life is all about the one-time experiences and sharing the same experiences with the ones close
to you. Last year me and two of my friends decided that we were going to go walk around the
city all day and visit every store. After a few stores we produced the phrase “been there done
that”. Throughput the whole time we never really did anything special, but we got to spend a
fun unique time with my friends which is necessary to get through life.

4. Do the stupid things

The best year of my life was the most carefree and fun year of my life. That year I did all the
stupid fun things that nobody would want to do. Why? Some may ask and my answer to that
was why not? Me and one kid would do everything we were told not to do. Did we get in a lot of
trouble? Yes, we did but the memories made it worth it without any doubt and now I have been
best friends with that kid for 4 years

5. MVP
When I was nine, I played in a baseball tournament in South Vancouver. For the tournament
they made a deal with VanCity bank where the mvps from each game got a hundred dollars. So
obviously me being the broke nine-year-old I was wanted to get my hands on being an MVP. For
the knockout round, each team played five games and if you lost three of them you were
knocked out and the teams that were left went on to do the same thing again but for three
games. After those three games the four teams with the best stats move on to the semifinals.
Throughout the first7 games I was going insane, I was making plays left and right and hitting
doubles consistently. Even though I was back packing the team I still did not get any MVPs so
obviously this made nine-year-old me very greedy and angry. This last game everything was on
the line my 100 dollars and to see if we were moving on to the semifinals. Of course, with my
luck we had to be facing the best team to see if we would move on. Let me tell you this, this
game was the closest game of my life. So many balls were hit into play but by the bottom 6th
inning the score was still zero to zero. We were on the field defending when the bases got
loaded our coach called time and walked up to the pitcher mound. I knew what was happening
and I dreaded it. The coach looked at me in left field and signals for me to come up to the
mound. The winning run for the other team was on third, the bases were loaded with zero outs.
To be honest I thought it was over for me I thought I was going to mess it up so badly I would
never be able to pitch again. But guess what? That right I clutched up threw 9 pitches all of them
were strikes three up three down. After my performance everyone is going hog wild cheering all
chanting” MVP.” HOWEVER, I straight up got scammed by the coach's kid who was the pitcher I
had to bail out at the end, so that made me mad but after everything was cleared and we are
leaving the field all the parents complimented my pitching and said that I deserved the MVP
instead of the coach's kid. That made me realize even though I did not get the 100 dollars
everyone still knew I should have gotten it which made me feel like I still got an MVP.

6. Open the book

As a child I would never do things outside of my comfort zone. MY family and I were camping when they
wanted to go kayaking but I was too scared. My mom looked at me and said, “think of it like opening a
book you don’t know if you are going to like it or not.” after she said I went kayaking and I ended up
having an incredibly fun time.

7. rubber banding
The most annoying thing whilst playing video games is rubber banding. Rubber banding is where your
Wi-Fi is very bad for a short amount of time and no matter what you do you can't do anything; you can't
run, or you end up teleporting back and it is a very frustrating experience, but I have learnt to use my
experience through video games and now just power through it because I've learnt sometimes there's
nothing I can do.
