The document discusses the author's experience siding their house project. It took six hours to side just one side of the house because the author had to carefully cut thin wood strips to size and attach them. A helpful tip from Mrs. Dahl to do shallow cuts then snap the wood made the process much faster. By applying this technique, the author was able to finish siding the entire house in the last week, relieving stress and putting them on track to complete the project upon returning from winter break.

Okay so this part of my project was easily the worst thing to ever happen to me.
IT TOOK SIX HOURS TO
DO THE SIDING ON ONE SIDE OF THE HOUSE!!! I spent one of the last three days doing one side of the house, I grossly underestimated how long it would take. How did I do the sidings? For the sidings I used the same type of plywood that is used in skateboards, so it was very thin and flexible which was perfect for what I needed. The reason it took so long was because I had to cut the plywood into thin strips that were 7/8” thick, after I had the strips, I had to hold it against the house mark the ending of the house with a pencil then cut it with an exactor knife. I repeated that process for every strip you see on the house. I cannot believe that I finished all the sides after the one took me six hours. The reason for this is because after doing the first side Mrs. Dahl realized I was cutting all the way through with the exactor knife instead of doing two or three shallow cuts then snapping that wood so that it would snap exactly where the cuts were. After she showed me that trick, I started flying through the strips and I became a literal machine. So, in conclusion, in this last week I finished all the house siding, which is where I wanted to be before the break, which is a huge relief of stress which is genuinely nice because I will not have to stress about it over the winter break. I project to be completely done my project by the end of the first week back to school because all I must do is clean up the minute details and stain my project and we are good to go.
