 Half Linen Stitch-ish Cowl 

A “nerdyknitting” pattern
by Nicole Nehrig

Half linen stitch is worked over an odd number of stitches when flat and an
even number of stitches in the round. I (accidentally) found that I prefer
the dotted pattern created by working half linen stitch over an odd number
of stitches in the round. It makes a beautifully dense and textured fabric
that looks great on both the “right side” and “wrong side” of the work. This
cowl is a great stash buster since it uses partial skeins of yarn—you could
even use small scraps of many different colors as the CC to create a
striped look.
