1. KNITTING NECKBAND FOR 1X1 RIBBING
Take circular needles 80-100 cm 2.5 mm (32 in

JOIN KNITTING IN THE ROUND
Bring the stitches to the edges of the needles.

ANNEX 1 Right side of the sample:

HOW TO KNIT A SAMPLE:

Because the jumper is knitted in a round, the
sample also needs to be knitted as if we were
knitting in a round.
The sample knit working the half Fisherman’s
rib.
Cast on 35 sts on the needles 3 mm (US 2.5).
Slide stitches to other end of the needle.

Take the working yarn (it is on the left side of

knitting). Transfer it at the back of the work to Wrong side of the sample:
the right side of knitting freely.

Row 1: knit for regular 1x1 ribbing (K1, P1). The

first and the last stitches knit knitwise.
Again slide stitches to other end of the needle.
Transfer the working yarn at the back of the
work to the right side of knitting freely.
Bind off stitches.
Wash and dry the sample. Count the number of
sts and rows that fit in a 10x10 cm (4x4 in)
square.

Row 2: knit stitches knit knitwise, purl stitches

knit purl-wise into the stitch below.
– watch VIDEO. The first and the last stitches
knit knitwise.
Again slide stitches to other end of the needle.
Transfer the working yarn at the back of the
work to the right side of knitting freely.
Next, alternate Row 1 and Row 2 until the
height of the sample is a little more than 10 cm.

FOR 1×1 RIBBING WHEN WE KNIT IN A ROUND

Work 4 preparation rounds before you start

binding off stitches:
Round 1: knit the knit stitches and slip the purls
– watch VIDEO. Insert the wool needle through the next knit
Round 2: knit the purl stitches and slip the knit stitch as shown in the photo below:

Round 3: knit in the same way as row 1.
Round 4: knit in the same way as row 2.

Leave a tail that is at least three times longer

than the bind off edge, and cut the yarn.
Thread the tail into a wool needle.

Step 3:
Join purl two stitches in pairs.
Insert the wool needle through the purl stitch
as shown in the photo below (slip this stitch
from the needle):
