DETERMINATION OF SOIL TYPE USING SOIL TEXTURE PYRAMID

STEP BY STEP

STEP 1
Collect soil sample at Pond near FSB and put in the
container

STEP 2
Squeeze the dish washing liquid (1 table spoon) into the
bottle jar (with scale)

STEP 3
Scope the soil sample from container and add the soil
into the bottle jar until 300 ml

STEP 4
Pour in water until 450 ml.
Shake the botte jar vigorously

STEP 5
Leave the jar a day to settle down the soil mineral

STEP 6
Take and read the reading

STEP 7
Determine the soil texture using a specific equation that
calculate the percentage of layer
STEP 8
Plot on the given soil textural pyramid
