TASK
You must do a hangouts or group discussion and observe whether people are talking
positive about themselves and about surrounding, or they are negative about both.

ANSWER

In the given assignment we had to do a hangout or group discussion with your friends.
Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to do, so I had a group discussion with my cousins. They
did not know that I am observing them.
We were three cousins including me aged 19 to 24. We were having a very random conversation
regarding multiple topics including studies, politics, family, marriage, etc.

POSITIVE/NEGATIVE ABOUT THEMSELVES

During the conversation I noticed that they both were positive about themselves because they
were discussing their achievements, accomplishments, and their success in a proud way. Even
they were incredibly positive about their self-appearances as well like they were satisfied and
happy how they look they talk they walk everything. For example, when we were talking about
studies both told how well they studied and maintain their GPA throughout the university life,
about their results, scholarships, and all.

However, I did not notice any negative thing they said about themselves, they were not
comfortable enough or they were not in a mood. As your mood matters a lot if you are sad or
disturb you eventually talk negative mostly so that is the important factor to consider as well.

POSITIVE/NEGATIVE ABOUT SURROUNDINGS

During the conversation I noticed that they were 50 50 negative and positive about the
surroundings like as I told you above that I had conversation with my cousins, so they were
negative about some people of our family and society. Even they were negative about their
classmate also. But on the other hand, they appreciated and praised others.

However, the positive point I noticed was that they both accepted others’ opinions and thoughts.
For example, in the political and religious discussion they were very flexible and accepting
regarding each other’s opinion.
