Maintenance Guide VITRO M5

I. Overview of maintenance
• The maintenance operations are to be carried out when the number of services specified is reached and no later than the months in operation have passed.
• Maintenance operations may consist on either thoroughly cleaning or replacement of parts subjected to wear and tear or aging.
• Additional maintenance operations may be carried out at the discretion of the Technical Service depending on the real state of the machine scheduled.
• Plan the maintenance with time ahead. Order the parts in advance to ensure availability on the dates scheduled.
• Always perform a functional test at the end of the maintenance operation to ensure 100% machine function.

III. How to prepare the maintenance activities

• Maintenance preparedness starts after the commission of a new machine, if we are in charge of the service operations.
• It is recommended to keep a database with machines information and keep it updated with the relevant events, for example, scheduled maintenance, works done,
together with the manufacturing information of the machine (date, reference, model, serial number, warranty conditions, accesories...).
• After the first machine commission, proceed with the register in the database (location, date, etc.). Check the manufacturer information to obtain the maintenance
schedule for that particular reference and annotate future maintenance dates. Check the spare parts needed, that could be ordered in advance to ensure availability
for when the next operation is to be carried out.
• Set future dates alerts to be adviced on next maintenance tasks and once the operations are done, update the machines database accordingly. These actions will
avoid many unnecessary work and will save time, having all this information centralized and at hand.
