Background
Mulago seventh Adventist students association (MUSASA) started as
mulago Adventist fellowship at nursing school with a membership of
7 in 2002.
The fellowship was meant to bring together all SDA students on the
health training institutions on mulago hospital complex i.e mulago
school of nursing and midwifery, paramedical schools (UIAHMS), and
doctor’s recess.
The members could meet at nursing school for spiritual uplifting
programs throughout the week specifically Sabbath vespers.
The fellowship didn’t have a place of worship but could utilise all
chances to have gatherings.
In 2004/5 the fellowship went through agreat transformation where
it was renamed mulago seventh day Adventist students association.
A constitution was organised and a key slogan ‘’ seek God and live’’
from Amos 5:4 was adopted with the help of mr ssekyewa Julius the
current patron.
The association was then registered with the guild office and Deans
office of paramedical schools when it was banned from holding
fellowships at nursing school.
The membership of the association has been always dynamic every
year with regular and non regular members. We thank God who has
guided and sustained this association from its inception officially in
2004 to date. A number of impact activities both spiritual and
physical activities have been organised by the members in different
years. These include among others weeks of spiritual revivals, gospel
rallies, that have always created a great impact on the members and
the communities where we stay and sometimes baptisms.
Grand reunions(associates day) yearly where the association
achieved a number of items from the former members in the
working world.
In 2011, the association got a logo to distinguish it from other
Adventist association. This was designed by Kaweesa James Buyinza.
