Good morning, teachers and friends.

Today, I’m going to tell a story entitled,

‘The lion and The Mouse’.

One day, a lion woke up to find a little mouse on his head. The little

mouse ran up the lion’s back and even jumped on its head.

‘How dare you wake me up, little mouse!’ Now, I’m going to eat you!’

The little mouse was very scared.

‘Please don’t eat me!’ he squeaked. ‘I didn’t mean to wake you up!

Please spare me and one day I might be able to help you.’

The lion looked at the mouse and laughed.

‘You, help me? You’re only a little mouse! But, you have made me

laugh so I’ll let you go this time.’

The next day, the lion got stuck in a hunter’s net. He roared loudly for

help and the little mouse came to help.

The mouse chewed and nibbled at the ropes with his sharp teeth and

soon the lion was free.

‘You’ve saved me! Thank you, little mouse!’

‘I’m small but it doesn’t mean I can’t achieve big things!’ the mouse said

proudly.

From that day on, the lion and the mouse were the best of friends.

Thank you.
