Strengths:

Weakness:

 No global definition of Green Economy


 Unknown damages to conventional business models
 Lack of full understanding of the financial gains of transitioning to a green economy.
 Situational concept and characteristics vary according to the area under consideration.

Opportunities:

 Address climate change and sustainability issues.


 Creates qualified, stable and fair jobs.
 Reduces poverty in the nation and also promotes equitable distribution of wealth and
social equity
 Increases societal resilience to internal and external shocks.
 Contributes to energy independency as well as water and food security

Threats:

 Lack of public and private funding


 Difficult to change in consumption and production patterns and life styles of the
people.
 Difficult to change the mindset of the people who feel that their mindset may be
compromised or threatened
