TIME ACTIVITY PLACE
11:00-12:30 pm SECOND SESSION OF THE COMMITTEES
• Presentation of the Instructions for Working Groups (Articles
45 – 47 of the Rules of Procedure) (3 mins)
• In all Committees: General Statements by delegates
Committee Rooms
according to the Order of Precedence (1 min).
Working Group Rooms
• OAS expert announces winner for Best General Statement
• Distribution of delegations into the 2 Working Groups: The
Chair reads the Agenda of Topics and the Working Group
Distribution
LUNCH BREAK
12:30-1:15pm (Delegates are assigned to their working groups/breakout
rooms)
THIRD SESSION OF THE COMMITTEES
1:15-3:30 pm WORKING GROUPS CONVENE: Working groups meet in their
respective breakout rooms. Delegates discuss within their
working groups, initiatives for the clauses to be included in the Working Group Rooms
draft resolution to be presented.

TIME ACTIVITY PLACE
SIXTH SESSION OF THE COMMITTEES
10:30-12:30 pm • WORKING GROUP SESSIONS: During this period of time,
delegates write the operative clauses and the preamble of
the resolution. Working Group Rooms
• Working Groups follow the instructions in the document
“Working Groups Checklist and Flowchart,” and the
“Instructions for Drafting Resolutions.”

TIME ACTIVITY PLACE
10:45-11:00am 10:45 am – INFORMATION ABOUT ELECTORAL PROCESS:
• The Committee Secretaries read the Instructions for the
Election of the MOAS Authorities (Articles 79 – 85 of the
Rules of Procedure) (2 mins).
• The Chair of each committee calls the delegates who wish to
run for Chair or Vice chair of the committees and introduces
them to the committee. (The General Committee will ONLY Committee Rooms
elect its Vice Chair).
• Each of the candidates receives his/her electoral nomination
form (2 mins).

• The Chair calls the delegates who wish to run for
Secretary General and MOAS President (only chiefs of
delegation may apply for these positions)
• Each of the candidates receives his/her electoral
nomination form by email and gets the support of four
(4) delegations in addition to his own delegation for the
nomination to be valid.
• Candidates must not have more than five (5) signatures
on their nomination form.
1:45-2:00pm BREAK
